QI Spotlight: CQUINS member wins ICRE award
Dr. Julie Strychowsky, Paediatric Otolaryngologist at LHSC and member of CQUINS, was recently recognized for her work in reducing waste in LHSC's ORs through the 2024 Western Green Award, recognizing those who promote environmental sustainability through leadership or initiatives. Dr. Strychowsky, as part of the Operating Room - Planetary Health Intervention Team (OR-PHIT), led a successful initiative to reduce waste by limiting surgical trays to include only those instruments and supplies necessary for the procedure.
