Instructions to LHSC Teams

Since the majority of physicians and program administrators use their hospital (LHSC and SJHC) email accounts, a secure Microsoft Team was created utilizing LHSC and SJHC accounts in which you can find a complete shared repository of materials created by PGME and residency programs here at Western. It's also a place where people can post messages.

Program Evaluation

Program Evaluation is an important component for residency programs and an entire accreditation standard is devoted to program quality improvement/program evaluation. Visit Program Evaluation in the left sub-navigation bar for more information about our PE efforts with regards to CBME.

Materials for CBME Leaders (PDs, CBME Leads, CC Chairs)

MOC Credits for Leaders

Any department or division CBME Lead should note that Maintenance of Certification (MOC) credits are possible for all of the work that goes towards implementing CBD. See the PDF for details.

Acuity STAR

We have also ensured that Acuity Star is updated to account for all of the roles and time commitments that education leaders devote towards CBME. See this slide deck prepared by Derrick Gould to show you where to log your CBME-related roles.

Clinician Teacher Guide

This general guide for Clinician Teachers is from Continuing Professional Development. The intent of this framework is to provide guidance to clinical faculty in the Clinician Teacher Academic Role Category (ARC), as well as their Department Chair/Chiefs, to better understand the type of work that may be expected at a given career rank. These are examples of what may count within the ARC structure. Clinician teachers are not expected to complete all the items in the Guide. See the PDF for the full guide.

This guide can help CBME education leaders to capture in their ARC the many activities related to the implementation of CBME. Here is a compendium that focuses on activities commonly required by the implementation of CBME and based on the guide.
