Welcome Dr. Tarek Abi-Saab

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Tarek Abi-Saab as a new Clinician Teacher and Assistant Professor effective August 1, 2026.

Dr. Abi-Saab is a surgical pathologist who earned his MD from the American University of the Caribbean in Sint Maarten, followed by residency training in anatomical and clinical pathology and a fellowship in Hematopathology at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. At LHSC, his responsibilities will include lymph node and bone marrow pathology, bone marrow aspirate sign-outs, flow cytometry, and GI and genitourinary pathology. His academic interests focus on mast cell disorders, medical education, and digital pathology.
