The Douglas Bocking Award for Excellence in Medical Teaching

CRITERIA:

Awarded to the member of Faculty who, in the opinion of medical students and members of the Dean's Office, has made the most outstanding contribution to the development of medical education during the previous four years. 

SUBMISSIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY 11:59PM on FRIDAY APRIL 5th 2024

The purpose of this award is to recognize a Faculty member who has made an outstanding contribution to the development of Undergraduate Medical Education over the past four years and has had a significant impact on the graduating class across all their time in Schulich Medicine in one or more of the following areas:
 

Commitment: Medical student teaching, Peer Development, Advances to student experience and learning environment.

Teaching: Supports the advancement of student learning with innovative and creative education models, Implementschange to adcanve the vision of UME and School

Communication: Excellence in communication skills

Leadership: Encourages interest in student learning, Works well with learners, An outstanding role mode, Supports students increased access to education scholarship
