Stigma Enigma Sophie Smith Scholarship
Awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student in Year 4, Doctor of Medicine (MD) program, who plans to complete his/her residency in psychiatry. While preference will be given to students of the Windsor Campus, the scholarship is open to all 4th year students of the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. Candidates must submit an online application which includes a one page statement by Sep 5th to the Office of the Associate Dean, Windsor Campus, outlining their plans to complete their residency in psychiatry. The recipient will be selected by the Progression & Awards Committee, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry on the recommendation of the Associate Dean, Windsor Campus. This award was established by Dr. Patrick Smith in memory of Sophie Smith. The scholarship will be awarded each November at the Stigma Enigma Event for Mental Health.
