Welcome to our new home, The Western Centre for Public Health and Family Medicine.
The Department of Family Medicine, including the Centre for Studies in Family Medicine, has moved into a new 66,700 square-foot, state-of-the-art building, featuring a 100 seat lecture theatre with videoconferencing capabilities; breakout rooms for small group teaching; faculty and administration offices and meeting spaces.
The Western Centre for Public Health and Family Medicine will serve as a locus of activity for campus-wide initiatives bringing together strengths in patient-centred care with population health and a global vision of public health.
These initiatives will consolidate resources by integrating academic and community physicians; empowering leadership; supporting primary care research and facilitating knowledge translation regarding the delivery of health care to populations.
