Postgraduate Report

Postgraduate Academic Program Coordinator

We are pleased to announce that Claudia Jarosz will be joining the PG Team as the Academic/Research Project Program Coordinator commencing February 6, 2023.

Claudia has a BSc and MKin, both from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo and her most recent position was as a Transitional Coach / Research Coordinator facilitating a patient-centered quality improvement study at Victoria Hospital.

In her role, Claudia will handle the scholarly aspect of the Postgraduate Program and will work closely with all residents to complete a research/QI project that is a requirement to complete the residency program. She will also help to develop on-line tools, guides and resources to help residents understand research.

We are excited to have Claudia join us in Postgrad and extend a warm welcome to her.

Resident Wellness

The Family Medicine Postgraduate team encourages all to be aware of their role in supporting the health, mental health, and wellbeing of all those who are part of our Family Medicine program, especially given the pandemic and option to participate in additional patient care above and beyond the training program. The Resident Wellness policy lists responsibilities of both Residents and Residency training program members: https://www.schulich.uwo.ca/familymedicine/postgraduate/current_residents/policies/assistance_for_residents_during_residency.html

PGY1 and PGY2 Curriculum Requirements

Residents are reminded to ensure they are working toward meeting the PGY1/2 curriculum requirements (logging field notes, procedures, obs log, academic credits via MyFM, completing rotation evaluations (one45), meeting with their Faculty Advisor, submitting RP proposal)  as noted at https://www.schulich.uwo.ca/familymedicine/postgraduate/current_residents/curriculum/index.html.
