Awards and Honours

Congratulations to Dr. Sonny Cejic, Liaison Physician - Centre for Studies in Family Medicine, for his Chair/Chiefs Award to a Family Physician. The Chair/Chief Recognition Awards are presented annually by the Citywide Department of Family Medicine to recognize and celebrate the achievements of our colleagues and in particular, his/her contributions for the benefit of the Department. 

Congratulations to Drs. Daniel Grushka and Kyle Carter for their recent honour:

Drs. Grushka and Carter have been recognized as Educator of the Year by the Canadian Point of Care Ultrasound Society (PoCUS) for their work on POCUS at Western. This award recognizes their work for educating Family Medicine residents through the creation of the introductory FamPOCUS course and curriculum. The course introduced Fam Med residents to POCUS and its applications within an ambulatory setting.
