Graduate Program Report

Recruiting for the 2019-20 academic year has concluded and applications have been reviewed.  This year there were 4 PhD applications and 8 MClSc applications.  We have extended offers to 4 MClSc applicants.  We have not extended any offers to the PhD program this year.  We continue to encourage you to promote the Graduate Programs to your residents and colleagues.

Dr. Les Lee (Singapore) will be defending his PhD thesis titled “Measuring Multimorbidity” on June 3rd, 2019.  His public lecture will commence at 12:30 pm in WCPHFM 1120.  We invite you to join us to support Dr. Lee in this important academic milestone.

Dr. Amanda Pendergast will be defending her MClSc thesis titled “Knowledge and Attitudes towards Breastfeeding among Memorial University Medical Students” on June 18, 2019.  Her public lecture will commence at 12:30 pm in WCPHFM 1120.  Join us in supporting this important academic milestone in Dr. Pendergast’s career.
