Postgraduate Program Report

Triple C update: There are some exciting new changes coming July 1 to the Faculty Advisor Form, now named the Periodic Review Form. The Periodic Review Form will soon be mapped to the Competencies and Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) for our program. Further, the Enhanced Skills Program assessments will similarly be modified to align Competencies and Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) for our program.

Resources available to residents: As learners, there are many resources available to you for support and counselling, including:

  • Your Family Doctor
  • Your Faculty Advisor, Program Director, or the Family Medicine office
  • FM Confidential Mentorship Program (scroll to bottom of web page page)
  • Learner Equity & Wellness (available through the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry) offers many services including: personal counselling (short term and crisis), case management of academic accommodations, etc.
  • PARO Helpline (available to any resident, partner, or medical student needing help. It is separately administered by the Distress Centre of Toronto and is totally confidential)

Notable Events:

  • Resident Project Day took place on June 13.  It was great to be able to showcase the scholarly activity of our residents. Many thanks to everybody that participated and made this day a huge success.
  • Resident Graduation took place on June 15.  It was a wonderful evening for the graduates and their families. Congratulations to all of the award winners, and best of luck to all of our graduates.
  • Resident Orientation will take place on July 4 for PGY1/2s and July 6 for PGY3s.
