  4. Where do you practice medicine and in what scope? I am a full-time faculty member in the Department of Family Medicine and I practice at the Southwest Middlesex Health Centre. I also practice emergency medicine at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital.

  5. Why did you choose to pursue teaching at Schulich Medicine & Dentistry? I had great mentors throughout my training at Schulich, including Ted Osmun, and when I heard of his retirement I thought I would be a great fit. I have always found the University very supportive as a learner and wanted to continue to foster that with the residents and students in the Family Medicine training program.

  6. What inspires you in your work? My family. I have a lovely wife and two young children, Charlotte and Benjamin, ages 21 months and 6 months.

  7. What has been your greatest experience to date in your career as a faculty member? Teaching and mentioning residents at the clinic. It has been a great experience watching the residents learn and achieve their goals both academically and professionally. It has been quite rewarding on a personal level to be involved with this.

  8. What do you do when you aren’t working? I spend all my free time with my family. We cottage on the shores of Lake Huron in Goderich.
