Family Medicine Administrative staff update

It is with pleasure that we welcome Kelsey Klages to the role of Postgraduate Manager in the Department of Family Medicine. Kelsey will work closely with Dr. Jamie Wickett, Postgraduate Director, and the Postgraduate staff team of Dianne Brooks, Lin Hill, Sharon Story and Liz McInnis for PRP and IMGs.

Kelsey holds a master's degree from Western with specialization in Health and Rehab Sciences. Kelsey joined the department in December 2011 as our Resident Project Coordinator. In her role, Kelsey mentored over 150 residents each year regarding research and quality improvements, as well as contributed to scholarly curriculum development, program evaluation, and learner assessment.

We look forward to Kelsey utilizing her quality improvement and evaluative background and skills to further enhance the learning objectives of the Family Medicine Residency Program, as well as provide an exceptional learning experience for all residents.

Please join us in congratulating Kelsey on this achievement.

We are saddened to report that Charlie Mehagan has accepted a new position back home in Thunder Bay. His last day with the deparment will be Thursday, June 23, 2016.

As much as we hate to see Charlie leave, we share in his happiness for moving closer to family and friends. We appreciate everything he has done for us - building MyFM from scratch and understanding the nuances of the Department of Family Medicine to enable him to build custom-made applications specifically geared towards this Department.
