Graduate studies program update

The Graduate Program courses are drawing to an end after another successful academic year and recruitment for the 2015-16 academic year continues.  We are happy to report that Dr. Dave Davidson and Dr. Carmen Nadal have completed the MClSc program and will be graduating at the Spring Convocation on June 11, 2015.   Dr. Saadia Hameed will be defending her thesis titled “Psychotherapy in Family Medicine” on Friday, May 22nd.  The public lecture will take place at 12:30 in WCPHFM 1120. All are welcome to attend the public lecture.

A productive Graduate Studies Committee retreat was held on April 8th where important topics including succession planning and curriculum renewal were discussed. Great feedback was generated by those in attendance.

Clinical faculty are encouraged to actively seek potential PGY3’s for the Academic Family Medicine (MClSc) program for the 2016-17 academic year. The application deadline date for PGY3 submissions is October 1, 2015.
