Uday Deotare
e. Uday.Deotare@lhsc.on.caDr Uday Deotare is an Assistant Director of the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program at London Health Sciences Centre, London, Ontario, Canada. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Haematology at Western University and additional cross appointment with Department of Oncology. He completed his initial medical degree, residency in medicine and Haematology in India. In June 2017, Dr Deotare completed a Clinical Research Fellowship in the area of Leukemia and Bone Marrow Transplantation at the University of Toronto before being appointed to his Faculty position at Western University in London, Ontario. He further honed his skills in Quality Improvement by completing his Masters at Queens University in 2023. Dr Deotare has 40 publications to his credit and is involved in Canadian Clinical Trials group (CTTC). His research interest includes Graft versus Host Disease, Post transplant viral infections and Quality Improvement and Innovation. For Dr Deotare, quality improvement is the backbone to his research interest, with involvement in decreasing length of stay of transplant patients and innovation in model of care delivery. He is involved in QI teaching with medical students and lead on a number of QI projects in the hospital.
