Dr. Ali Bateman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University. She completed medical school and residency training at Western University followed by a masters in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety at the University of Toronto. Dr. Bateman's clinical work includes being a consultant physiatrist in the Acquired Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injury rehabilitation programs and Medical Director of the Acquired Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program at Parkwood Institute. Her academic work includes quality improvement and patient safety in rehabilitation and implementation of evidence-based best practices. Dr. Bateman is the inaugural Physician Quality Improvement Lead for St Joseph's Health Care London.
