Terry Zwiep

Dr. Zwiep received his medical degree from the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, where he subsequently completed a general surgery residency and MSc in Surgery degree. During his residency, Dr. Zwiep received the D.M. Grace Award and R.L. Holliday Award. Upon finishing his residency training, Dr. Zwiep attended the University of Ottawa for a colorectal surgery fellowship, and most recently completed a MSc in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety from the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. Dr. Zwiep has also trained as a combat medic in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves. His clinical and research interests include benign and malignant colorectal disease, quality improvement with a focus on pre-operative optimization, and practice organization.
