Taking place in four communities in the region, it will offer campers hands-on experience with suturing and casting, a chance to grapple with medical cases and diagnose and treat patients.

    Dr. Bertha Garcia was named a 2019 Women of Excellence award recipient by the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario. Recently, she was joined by three other recipients, former Schulich Medicine & Dentistry Dean Dr. Carol Herbert, faculty member Cindy Hutnik, and alumnus and President & CEO Dr. Gillian Kernaghan to reflect on the humbling experience and how other women serve as their ongoing inspiration.
