The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine would like to offer congratulations to MohdWessam Al Jawhri, who has completed his MSc in Pathology. Dr. Lisa Cameron is Wessam’s supervisor. The title of Wessam’s thesis is "The Effects of Glucocorticoids on Th2 Cell Phenotype and Function."

Congratulations to William Assis on his successful master thesis defence called “Liver function panel oscillations in the marmoset hippocampus during real navigation in 3D”.

Congratulations to Dr. Kevin Pottie for receiving an inaugural Inclusive Health Research award in São Paolo, Brazil for his research “Canadian Collaboration for Immigrant and Refugee Health: Power of Sharing Newcomer Stories Program.”

Congratulations to Dr. Emil Schemitsch and colleagues on receiving the Canadian Orthopaedic Research Society (CORS) Founders’ Medal. The CORS Founders' Medal is awarded by the CORS Executive in recognition of the most outstanding paper presented at a CORS meeting.

Congratulations to Dr. Brent Wakefield for successfully defending his thesis “Pannexin 3 in exercise, obesity and osteoarthritis”. Dr. Wakefield is a part of the Anatomy and Cell Biology department and was supervised by Dr. Frank Beier and Dr. Silvia Panuela.
