Stroke Symposium Alberta

The Department of CNS will be streaming the Stroke Symposium Alberta in room C3-170 at University Hospital.

Course Overview:

What you need to know about stroke diagnosis, management and recovery focused in the office setting. The course will review what happens in acute stroke; how to manage stroke-related recovery issues,
including spasticity and driving and how to assess and treat preventively after stroke. The course will be highly interactive and registrant driven with ample time for interaction and discussion.

Course Objectives:

At the end of this course, learners will be equipped to:

  • Select established and innovative strategies for stroke prevention,
    treatment and management
  • Expedite the diagnostic work-up process
  • Apply the referral process for sub-specialty care
