Welcome Dr. Ivan Stevic
Dr. Ivan Stevic joined Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (PaLM) as a Clinical Biochemist on April 29, 2019. Dr. Stevic received his MSc and PhD degrees from McMaster University, Hamilton, ON, in the field of Thrombosis and Hemostasis. He completed a 3-year Clinical Biochemistry residency at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, MB. He has two years’ experience working as a Clinical Biochemist at the Health Sciences North, Sudbury, ON, where he was Section Head of Clinical Biochemistry with oversight of Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) and Central Receiving and Phlebotomy departments. His clinical and research interests include: laboratory utilization, quality management, pre-analytics, body fluids, biomarkers of disease and aspects of Thrombosis and Hemostasis. Dr. Stevic will be working with other members of PaLM to ensure the delivery of high quality laboratory testing for our patients and regional laboratories. He will supervise and have responsibility for the medical/scientific functions of the biochemistry testing in core laboratories and POCT.
