Dr. Lisa Cameron named Western Massey Fellow
Congratulations to Dr. Lisa Cameron who has been named a Western Massey Fellow from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026. Western University and Massey College have partnered to create the Western Massey Fellowship Program, offering two prestigious fellowship positions each year to Western faculty members on sabbatical. Launched in Spring 2024, this initiative provides scholars with the opportunity to engage with one of Canada’s most distinguished academic communities. Massey College is a prestigious think tank at the University of Toronto that brings together graduate students, distinguished academicians, and established leaders from all disciplines, industries, and backgrounds to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange.
During her Western Massey Fellowship, Dr. Cameron will advance her vision for a TRanslational Immunology Research Group (TRIG) at Western. Her project aims to break down research and clinical silos by building cross-disciplinary collaborations to accelerate discovery and improve care for immune diseases. While at Massey College, she will engage with experts in health policy, translational science, and team-based research to refine this framework and develop new partnerships that bridge research and clinical practice.
We also congratulate Dr. Cameron on her recent grant with respirologist colleague Dr. Anurag Bhalla from the Lung Health Foundation for a project titled "Asthma with Neutrophils".
All the best Dr. Cameron for a successful sabbatical year as a Western Massey Fellow.
