The Resident Research Committee is part of the Resident Program Committee that helps to manage the resident’s research journey during the course of their training. While the primary goal of the committee is to ensure the residents complete a scholarly project that meets the criteria for their College registration, the committee also provides mentorship and supports the culture of research excellence amongst the resident body and the department more widely.  A formal teaching program throughout the year aims to educate on specific research topics and regular sessions for the residents to present their research are organized throughout the year.  Internal peer-reviewed research grants and travel money are available for residents to enable the highest quality research and exposure to external meetings. The committee includes a chair and several members of the faculty as well as 2 resident representatives and administrative support.
