The worksheet for the Honours Specialization in IMS (below) should help you select the courses that you need to complete both the requirements for the Honours Specialization in IMS and your general graduation requirements (breadth, essay, senior courses, etc.).
- Worksheet for Honours Specialization in IMS - submit the worksheet for review (link to submit is in the worksheet) ONLY if you think you are not satisfying the requirements to graduate.
The Academic Calendar is the official document for graduation requirements but the worksheet will help. There are a few changes in the Academic Calendar for 2019/20:
- you can take another 0.5 course from Group 1 or 2 in place of the second 2000-level half course in Chemistry
- Anatomy and Cell Biology 3319 has been split into two new half courses: Anatomy and Cell Biology 2200B (Group 1) and Anatomy and Cell Biology 3200A (Group 2).
- Please note that special permission will NOT be granted to use the former Anatomy and Cell Biology 3319 as (0.5 Group 1 + 0.5 Group 2), instead of 1.0 Group 2.
If you are in the combined BMSc/HBA program, then use the Academic Calendar for the requirements and check with Dr. C if you have questions.A Program Planning Tool is available in Student Centre but does not work for students in the combined BMSc/HBA program. The only section that is updated is the section for "Modular Requirements for the Honours Specialization in IMS". Please note that the Program Planning Tool (i) has not yet been updated with the requirements of the 2019/20 Academic Calendar, (ii) picks courses with the highest marks first , and does not use a full course to satisfy arequirement if a half course is required. Check with Dr. C if you have questions.
