April 13, 2015 Congratulations to Bridget Ryan, PhD, who has been selected as a Faculty Scholar with the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES) Western for the 2015-2017 Faculty Scholars' Program. Acceptance into this program is recognition of her achievements and leadership to date. We are excited about the opportunities that Dr. Ryan's participation in the Scholars Program will bring not only to her program of research but also to primary care and health services research in the Department of Family Medicine and at Western.
February 23, 2015 Dr. Stewart Harris is collaborating with 12 First Nations communities in six Canadian provinces to identify local health challenges and facilitate better care coordination and improved outcomes for diabetes patients in a community-driven, culturally relevant context.
September 25, 2019 Family Medicine Forum, or FMF, is Canada’s largest and most comprehensive annual conference for family physicians. Members of the Department of Family Medicine and the Centre for Studies in Family Medicine participated in the conference with presentations, workshops and posters that showcased their research.
September 25, 2019 The Diabetes team has launched a new website: Diabetes Evaluation Framework for Innovative National Evaluations (DEFINE).
DEFINE was developed to guide the comprehensive evaluation of diabetes prevention and management initiatives, and to facilitate policy innovations to improve diabetes care and reduce the clinical and financial burden of diabetes.
