Short Bio
Melanie's interests and work are focused on innovative and disruptive approaches to dealing with factors and barriers that deter the enjoyment of acceptable levels of good health and overall wellness by individuals in communities. She teaches an online supplementary EDIDI course entitled "A Case-Based Approach to Achieving Equity in Healthcare Settings" on OWL Brightspace, and it available to the Western Community, free of charge. Melanie uses a human-rights framework to interrogate socio-cultural determinants of wellness and disease.
