She currently holds funds to study the burden of RSV in Ontario with the intention of informing immunization strategies.

Abstract:
In this lecture, we will review common approaches to estimating vaccine effectiveness. We will focus on the test-negative design, which is commonly used for influenza and COVID-19 VE. We will discuss how exposures and outcomes are measured, how VE is estimated and interpreted, and its importance to public health decision-making.
