Short Biography:
Dr. Ana Elisa Lohmann, MD PhD, is a distinguished medical oncologist specializing in breast and gynecological cancers. A dedicated clinician-researcher, she has completed clinical research fellowships at the British Columbia Cancer Agency and Mount Sinai Hospital/Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. Dr. Lohmann also earned a PhD in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of Toronto.

In 2019, she joined the Department of Oncology (Division of Medical Oncology) at the Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre, formerly known as the London Regional Cancer Program, and holds an Assistant Professor position at the University of Western Ontario. Dr. Lohmann’s research centers on exploring the role of blood biomarkers, particularly obesity-related factors and liquid biopsies, in relation to cancer outcomes. Through her innovative work, she aims to enhance understanding of these critical areas, ultimately improving patient care and outcomes.
