Short Bio:
Jason Were is a fourth-Year PhD candidate in Epidemiology and Biostatistics under the supervision of Dr. Karen Campbell and Dr. Saverio Stranges. Jason holds two master’s degrees in Geography and Management in Applied Sciences with a concentration in Global Health Systems in Africa from Western University as well as a Bachelor's in Biology from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. His research interests include nutrition transition, malnutrition, social determinants of health, maternal and child health and nutrition-related non-communicable diseases.

Short Bio:
Ishor Sharma is currently, a fourth Year PhD student at the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Before joining Western, he worked on a research project on lifestyle factors associated with risk and survival of Colorectal Cancer in Newfoundland and Labrador. He comes from Himalayan country in Nepal, South Asia. While in Nepal, he was an assistant lecturer at the department of Public Health.
