Short Bio:

Dr. Jairath has degrees in pharmacology and medicine from Leeds University, a DPhil from Oxford University and a post graduate diploma in clinical trials from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. In 2016 he was appointed as Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology at Western University, Canada. He has cross appointments in the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Program of Experimental Medicine and is a Lawson Health Research Institute Scientist. He is recipient of the John and Susan McDonald Endowed Chair in Inflammatory Bowel disease Clinical Research at Western University and director of the IBD fellowship program. His research interests include the design, conduct and implementation of randomized controlled trials, instrument development and outcomes research and is principal investigator of several randomized controlled trials. He has over 200 publications and supervises several students at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
