THRIVE: Faculty Development Framework

THRIVE is the Faculty Development Framework of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) department, created to support faculty at every stage of their academic and professional journey. Grounded in a comprehensive needs assessment, THRIVE offers a coordinated and accessible approach to faculty development that responds to the evolving roles and responsibilities of today’s educators.

The framework is built around five series, each designed to strengthen key areas of faculty growth. Together, these series support excellence in Teaching and Education, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Decolonization (EDID), Leadership Development, Research, and Career Planning. Sessions are practical, flexible, and responsive to real-world academic contexts, with offerings available in both scheduled and by request, where we can bring the sessions to your team.

Through THRIVE, CPD aims to bring faculty development to where faculty work, foster a culture of growth and belonging, build leadership and scholarly capacity, and deepen connection to the institution. By integrating professional learning into academic life, THRIVE empowers faculty to thrive as educators, leaders, scholars, and role models.
