Eight resources and activities to support your year of wellness

Welcome back Windsor Campus learners. A very special welcome to the incoming Medicine Class of 2023, Schulich Medicine ⁠— Windsor Campus who are the first to engage in renewed curriculum. These are exciting times at the School and in medical education. We look forward to supporting you through these years ahead.

The Learner Equity & Wellness (LEW) Office is a safe and confidential space for learners in any year of training seeking support, guidance and counselling for all matters regarding well-being: personal, professional, academic, financial or otherwise. A reminder that LEW’s Windsor Office is open Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

As we start the academic year, here is a list of resources, spaces and activities, in addition to LEW, to support a year full of wellness at the Windsor Campus:

Windsor Campus Wellness Lounge

Need an escape from the hustle and bustle? Looking for space to unwind, pray or curl up with some wellness resources? Visit the Wellness Lounge adjacent to the LEW Office. It’s equipped with yoga mats, activities to de-stress, guided mediation CDs and more.

Therapy Assistance Online (TAO)

Now available to all Schulich Medicine students, TAO is an online library of interactive modules, videos and programs that support your mental health. Learn more and register online.

Clubs, Teams, Student Leadership and Intramural Sports

Connection to peers and making time for activities outside of curriculum is an important aspect of supporting well-being. You are encouraged to apply to leadership roles and take part in the many clubs and teams at Schulich Medicine.

Student Support Services, UWindsor

From health and wellness resources to access to Legal Aid, support is not far away. More information and a list of support services for students is available online.

Student Counselling Centre, UWindsor

The Student Counselling Centre is home to several professional psychotherapists and psychologists with expertise in many different counselling methods. This office runs robust programming to ensure students have access to many health and wellness resources and activities.

Student Health Services, UWindsor

This comprehensive health clinic serves Schulich Medicine ⁠— Windsor Campus learners, providing student-centred primary care to manage your health needs. More information, including hours and appointments, is available online.

CAW Student Centre, UWindsor

Open 24/7 during the academic year, the CAW Student Centre houses Student Health Services, a pharmacy and a dental clinic.

University of Windsor Students’ Alliance

The University of Windsor Students' Alliance coordinates the health plan and universal bus pass that serves Schulich Medicine ⁠— Windsor Campus learners. Learn more about the Walksafe service and the more than 150 clubs and societies on campus.
