Bio Sketch

Dr. Lik Hang Tommy Chan is a dual board-certified neurologist (Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry). He is an United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS) accredited headache specialist. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, Canada in 2008 prior to completing his medical education at the University of Queensland, Australia in 2013. He completed a 5-year adult neurology residency training program at the University of Western Ontario, Canada in 2019. He was appointed as chief neurology resident in 2018. He completed a Headache Fellowship training at Stanford University in 2020. Dr. Chan has published more than 28 peer-reviewed publications as of 2022. He also co-authored a book chapter in “Post-traumatic headache disorders” and "Functional lllness: Headaches". His research interests include primary and secondary headache disorders.

Dr. Chan is a member of the American Headache Society, Canadian Headache Society, and the International Headache Society.

Dr. Chan is a reviewer for the following medical journals: Cephalalgia, Cephalalgia Reports, Headache, The Journal of Headache and Pain, BMC Neurology, Clinical Neurology & Neurosurgery, The Canadian Journal of Neurological Sciences, and The Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology.
