Bio Sketch
Dr. Joe (Yeyao) Yuattained his BSc (2008) from Queen's University and his MD (2011) from McMaster University. He completed his Neurology Resident Training at the University of Ottawa where he attained his FRCPC and CSCN EMG certifications. During his residency he was the Chief Resident (2014-2015), the Program Scheduler (2013-2014), and represented senior residents on the Neurology residency Training Committee.
Dr. Yu has held positions as a General Neurologist and EMG technitian at the Qikiqtani General Hospital in Iqaluit Nunavut and as a General Neurologist at Booth Neurology in Ottawa before joining the Department of Clinical Neurological Sciences in 2017 as a General Neurologist.
Research
Dr. Yu is currently conducting research on the characteristics and outcomes of patients with psychogenic nonepileptic seizures with and without comorbid epilepsy with Dr. Mirsattari.
Medical Interests
Dr. Yu practices general neurology.
