Bio Sketch

Dr. Jones received her medical degree and neurology residency training from McGill University.  She subsequently completed a 2-year fellowship in EEG and Epilepsy at Western University that focused on expertise in the surgical evaluation of patients with medically refractory epilepsy.  She later joined the Department of Clinical Neurological Sciences in 2014 as a clinical epileptologist and the EEG/Epilepsy Fellowship Program Director.  

In 2017, she worked as an Assistant Professor in the Section of Neurology at the University of Manitoba.  She was the University of Manitoba Neurology Residency Co-Program Director from 2018-2020 as well as the Neurology CBD lead and the Competence Committee Chair.

In 2021, Dr. Jones returned to Western University as a clinician teacher and neurologist/epileptologist.  She is the CNS Education Director, the Epilepsy/EEG fellowship program Director and the Education Director for the LHSC Comprehensive Epilepsy Program.  She is the former Canadian Board of Registration of Electroencephalograph Technologists, Inc. (C.B.R.E.T., Inc.) Chair.  Her other roles include the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists (CSCN) EEG secretary, the CSCN representative for CBRET Inc. and an examiner for the CSCN National EEG Examination.  She chairs the Canadian Neurological Society (CNS) Mentorship Subcommittee.
