The London Regional Cancer Program (LRCP) is launching a pilot program to increase patient awareness about oncology clinical trials.  We are looking for a temporary position responsible for the management of a clinical trials information kiosk in the LRCP patient waiting area.  The activities would include the promotion of the kiosk and providing patients with information about oncology clinical trials.   The position will work with the Clinical Cancer Research Unit that coordinates and supports clinical/translational research projects undertaken by the academic/clinical staff. 

Rate of Pay: $20/hour

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, between 8:00 – 4:00

Duration of Contract: 2+ months (starts July 3)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and written skills for communicating effectively with health care professionals, patients and family members
  • Excellent relationship management and time management skills
  • Ability to liaise with key stakeholders
  • Clinical trial knowledge would be an asset
  • Ability to manage confidential patient information
  • Ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated computer skills
