The cellular structures are difficult to interpret, particularly, the sinusoids and the portal triads using the pentachrome stain kit. Additionally, the intensity of the cytoplasm staining red obscures the visibility of the nuclei. The pentachrome stain kit is helpful in visualizing the lipid droplets in the hepatocytes which can be helpful when diagnosing steatosis.
