CaNadian Observational Study of Epilepsy (CANOE)

The overall goal of the study is to broadly characterize epilepsy in the general Canadian population, explore etiology as well as the determinants of health outcomes in people with epilepsy. This is a prospective, pan-Canadian research database on epilepsy, entitled the CaNadian Observational study of Epilepsy (CANOE). At each clinic visit, patients will be met by the Research Coordinator to obtain consent. Patients are able to complete questionnaires either in the clinic on a tablet or at home through REDCAP. The questionnaires will take approximately 20 minutes in the clinic to complete.
Inclusion criteria:
- Patients with epilepsy, ≥18 yrs
Exclusion criteria:
- Failure to provide consent by patient or patient's substitute decision maker

Suzan Brown (Research Coordinator), will obtain written or e-consent from patients in the clinic.
