Eight Western projects awarded Canada Foundation for Innovation funding to support cutting-edge research
Physiology and Pharmacology professor Van Lu presents an image of an organoid – a lab-grown cluster of cells that acts like a simplified human organ – used in her research on the gastrointestinal tract. Organoid research is accelerating at Western with a grant from the Canada Foundation for Innovation that will bring a state-of-the-art 4D imaging system to campus, one of eight Western projects receiving infrastructure funding.
