A Message from the Chair of Graduate Studies

Graduate training in Physiology and Pharmacology will challenge you to develop Apply Nowbreadth and depth of knowledge on a specific project selected from a broad choice of research areas. But perhaps more importantly, it will challenge you to develop strong critical thinking and knowledge translation skills to prepare you for a variety of potential careers. Graduate degrees in Physiology and Pharmacology are research thesis-based, meaning that the majority of your time will be spent conducting research in the laboratory of your thesis supervisor. An MSc is typically 2 years in duration, while a PhD is usually completed within 4 to 5 years. Members of our research faculty, primarily your thesis supervisor and advisory committee, will mentor you through your graduate degree, from entry to completion.
