Welcome Dr. Emilie Lalonde

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Emilie Lalonde has joined the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Dr. Lalonde is a clinical molecular geneticist and cytogeneticist at the London Health Sciences Centre and Assistant Professor in the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Western University. Her interests lie in the integration of molecular, cytogenetic and bioinformatics techniques for improved diagnostics of inherited and somatic diseases, and in assessing the clinical impact of molecular and cytogenetic biomarkers on cancer outcomes. Dr. Lalonde received a Bachelor of Computer Science from Queen’s University, Master of Science from McGill University and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Toronto. She completed a fellowship in Molecular Genetics and Cytogenetics at the University of Pennsylvania and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and is certified by the American Board of Genetics and Genomics in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics.  She previously worked as a laboratory director at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the Detroit Medical Center.
