Ten Years of Continuing Accreditation by NAACLS

We are happy to share that our Pathologists’ Assistant MCISc Program has been recommended for ten years of continuing accreditation by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS), which is the one of the most important agencies for accreditation and approval of educational programs in the clinical laboratory sciences and related healthcare disciplines in North America. This is the result of an extensive and successful review of the program and a virtual site visit late last year.

This process could not have been completed without the invaluable work of the Western PaLM office (Tracey Koning, Susan Underhill, and Kathilyn Allewell), our PA preceptors (Andrew Zhang, Stephanie Sharpley, and Alyshia Phillips), our partner sites, our current and prior students, and the full support of PaLM leadership and colleagues.

A special recognition goes to Dr. Nancy Chan who has been instrumental in making this program what it is and, notwithstanding being on extended medical leave, extensively participated in the preparation for this review and its development.
