Welcome Dr. Patti Kiser

We are pleased to announce Dr. Patti Kiser has joined our team as a basic science faculty member and Assistant Professor effective September 1, 2017.


Dr. Kiser received her MSc in Pathobiology at the University of Seattle, and then completed her DVM/PhD in Microbiology, Immunology and Pathology at Colorado State University.  She most recently completed her Veterinary Anatomic Pathology Residency at Oregon State University. Dr. Kiser’s primary research interest is in understanding mechanisms of disease in situ, focusing on diseases in animal models.

Dr. Kiser will be developing a new faculty-wide course in comparative pathology directed to graduate students and will also be involved with Western University’s Animal Care and Veterinary Services, providing core pathology interpretive services.
