With funding from the Ontario Brain Institute, CAN-BIND and Whitefish River First Nation, Gerald McKinley and his team have recently completed a knowledge translation event focusing on the elimination of substance abuse, self-harm, depression, and suicide among Northern First Nation youth. The event took place in Sudbury, Ontario, from May 5-7th, 2017.

This event was one of four seasonal workshops focusing on belonging, self-esteem, identity, and purpose and is part of CAN-BIND's Indigenous Outreach Program.
