WPA Academic Workshop

On March 8th, WPA hosted an academic workshop. The focus of this informal and interactive session was displaying and presenting research to help with both local and international conferences, as well as statistics. The event was rated by the attendees as follows: organization (4.7/5); relevance (3.6/5); effectiveness (4.1/5); learning experience (4.4/5); overall impression (4.6/5). Based on our evaluations from the last workshop, we have improved our ratings in 3 out of 5 of the criteria and remained consistent in 2/5 of the criteria. Comments revealed the session was helpful overall and the statistics portion was easy to understand with only the most important concepts being covered. Suggestions included focusing on model systems for future session(s) and including various animal models and transgenic systems. We will take these suggestions into consideration for upcoming academic workshops.
