Dr. Johnson joined the Department of Paediatrics at Western University in the Division of Critical Care medicine in July 2024. She completed her Critical Care Fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and General Paediatrics Residency at BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver.
Prior to joining Western University, Dr. Johnson completed a MHSc at the University of British Columbia, studying the epidemiology of mortality in paediatric sepsis. She recently completed an MSc in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Johnson is the physician lead for Quality Improvement and Clinical Innovation in the Paediatric Critical Care Unit at Children's Hospital, LHSC. She collaborates and mentors trainees on quality improvement projects within the PCCU and Department of Paediatrics at Children's Hospital, LHSC. She is the Paediatric Medical Director for the Children's Hospital Neonatal and Paediatric Transport Team. Her research interests are in healthcare provider workload, safe de-implementation of healthcare interventions, patient safety measurement, and healthcare infrastructure design.
