Dr. Soumitra Tole joined the Department of Pediatrics in 2019. Dr. Tole is a pediatric hematologist/oncologist in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at Children’s Hospital – LHSC, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the Schulich School of Medicine, Western University. He is the Pediatric Medical Director of the Bleeding Disorders Program and the Hemoglobinopathy Program at LHSC.

Dr. Tole received his medical training at the University of Toronto before pursuing his residency in pediatrics and fellowship training in pediatric hematology/oncology at The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto. He then completed a clinical fellowship in Pediatric Hemostasis/Thrombosis in Toronto. He completed Master's training in neutrophil migration and function under the guidance of Dr. Lisa Robinson. He has FRCPC certification in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.

Dr. Tole's clinical and research interests include pediatric hemostasis and thrombosis, red cell disorders, and vascular anomalies. He is a member of the Association of Hemophilia Clinic Directors of Canada (AHCDC) and the treasurer of the Canadian Pediatric Hemostasis and Thrombosis Network (CPTHN).
