Dr. Singh joined the Children's Hospital (CH) in 1998. He attended the Rajendra Medical College, Ranchi, in India and completed his MB, BS in 1981. In 1989 he joined the Janeway Child Health Centre within the Memorial University system for his Paediatric Residency Training. He began a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at CH in 1992.
Dr. Singh was an Associate professor of Paediatrics at Children’s Hosptial of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), Ottawa from 1992-98 prior to joining University of Western Ontario as an Associate Professor in Paediatrics in 1998. He is currently the Director of Paediatric Critical Care Unit and Deputy Chief of Paediatrics, at the Children Hospital, LHSC, Department of Paediatrics, UWO.
He serves in many committees and is currently Chair of Department of Paediatrics Finance Committee, PCCU Operations/Management Committee, PCCU Care Review Committee in addition to serving as a member at the Paediatric Death Review Committee for the Province of Ontario. He also sits on many other Hospital and Department Committees.
Dr. Singh has numerous research grants and has authored or coauthored over 40 manuscripts in peer review journals. Dr. Singh has received numerous teaching awards including PGE teaching awards in 1998, 2003, 2006 and has been in teaching honour rolls many times. He was also nominated for PAIRO teacher of the year award in 2006
