Exploring farmer’s markets

In work and life, I’m inspired by: “Love of medicine, faith and family.”

Career goal:

  • To build a diverse career in family medicine that keeps me inspired and motivated, while fulfilling a needed role in my community. Specifically, I’d like to practise addictions medicine along with hospital- and office-based family medicine.

Most memorable training experience in medicine:

  • Addictions Medicine at Erie St. Clair Clinic and my core Family Medicine rotations with my awesome preceptor, Dr. Susan Sweet.

  • Doctor of Medicine, Wayne State University School of Medicine
  • Master of Nutritional Science, University of Toronto
  • Bachelor of Medical Sciences, Honours Specialization in Microbiology and Immunology, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University

  • Internal Medicine/Paediatrics Student Scholar of the Year Award
  • Outstanding Heart and Character Award, Canadian Alumni, Wayne State University School of Medicine

  • Robert R. Frank Student Run Free Clinic
  • Fit Kids 360

Personal notes:

  • Last book read: Precious Little Sleep by Alexis Dubief and Brother by David Chariandy
  • My most played song: “New Kind of Love” by Skylar Grey
  • Can’t live without: My new daughter, Ada
  • Something I’ve learned that’s stuck with me: Opioid Replacement Therapy and everything breastfeeding

Say it in Six

Inspired by the legendary Ernest Hemingway example, “For sale: baby shoes, never worn,” the six-word story is a creative challenge to simplify ideas, spark conversation and inspire action.
