Resident Wellness Day

May 12th, marked the date of the first-annual Windsor Family Medicine Resident Wellness Day.

Drs. Dema Kadri, Sarah Hanik, and Tatjana Milovic planned the day for their colleagues, faculty, staff, and their families in hopes it would start a new tradition at the Schulich Medicine Windsor Campus. The goal was to create a day when all residents would recharge.

Everyone began the day with body-mindfulness and fresh smoothies prior to participating in a yoga session.

“We were honoured to have multiple guest speakers including Dr. Arthur Kidd, who shared his personal stories and taught us many memorable life lessons,” said Dr. Kadri, one of the organizers.

The afternoon concluded with a luncheon, board games, finger painting, and manicures provided by volunteers from the St. Clair College Esthetics Program.

Then everyone headed across the border to enjoy the Detroit Tigers game and a lovely meal together.
