Farewell 'til fall

It is hard to believe that the year is coming to a close already. We have had an incredibly fruitful year filled with fun events, new initiatives, and old traditions.

We were very happy to have hosted a fantastic Career Night here in Windsor. A variety of doctors from different specialties volunteered their time and the event was well received by the students. We can’t thank the physicians enough for the insight and experience they brought to this event.

Tachycardia this year was tremendously successful as attested to by faculty and fellow students on numerous occasions. Congratulations to all who participated in making this year’s show a memorable one.

On April 12, we continued our tradition of presenting our Windsor Campus Awards of Excellence to deserving colleagues, celebrating individuals who contribute to our positive experience studying at the Windsor Campus.

We were fortunate to use the Prescription For Fun Award to host a fantastic Pre-Clerkship Closing Ceremonies weekend— a brilliant time for all those who attended. This event was planned and executed entirely by our fellow classmates. Thank you Dr. Wonham for this generous award, and thank you to the event organizers for ensuring that our pre-clerkship experience wraps up so memorably. The weekend immediately following our Prescription For Fun, we also hosted our spring integration weekend and offered a variety of fun events including a Spring Formal.

As our Medicine Class of 2020, become the classroom seniors, we will move into clerkship, our clerks will begin their CaRMS process, and we will say goodbye to our Medicine Class of 2017, as they graduate and begin residency. This is an exciting and change-filled time for all of us as it is every year, and I wish everyone the best.

Let us enjoy the warm weather and clear skies of the summer months, and let us look forward to being reunited in the fall.
